Who can apply?

Mainly Retirees, Passive income applicants or Stable source of income. Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen. Proven stable income of at least: €2,000/month for the main applicant. +€400/month for spouse. +€300/month per child.

Basic information

Apply from your home country via the Greek consulate or embassy. After approval, enter Greece with the FIP visa. Apply for the residence permit at the local immigration office within 60 days. Residence permit issued for 2 years with renewal options.

Requir documents

Valid passport (with 6+ months validity). Proof of income (bank statements, pension letters, etc.). Proof of accommodation in Greece. Health insurance covering Greece. Police clearance certificate. Application forms and fees.

Processing

  • Preparation: Gather all required documents.

  • Initial Application: Submit your visa application at the Greek Consulate in your country of residence.

  • Visa Issuance: Upon approval, receive a visa valid for up to 12 months to enter Greece.

  • Residence Permit Application: After arriving in Greece, apply for the FIP residence permit at the local immigration office.

  • Permit Issuance: Receive a 3-year residence permit, renewable every 3 years.

  • Live in Greece legally without the need to work or invest.

  • Visa valid for 2/3 years, renewable every 2/3 years.

  • Schengen zone access for travel.

  • Eligible to apply for permanent residence and eventually citizenship after 7 years of legal stay.
